Premier Alden McLaughlin points to his ‘I got my COVID-19 vaccine’ badge
From 22nd March 2021, Cayman’s new quarantine requirements were announced by Premier Alden McLaughlin for arriving vaccinated travellers, as Cayman had reached the “much-anticipated milestone” and more than 91% of the over-60 population had been vaccinated. Travel Cayman issued details of the new process, in which quarantine time is reduced from 14 days to 10 days, with an exit test on day 11 for travellers who meet certain requirements.
Cayman’s borders will remain closed to general tourism until further notice. Premier said between 70% and 80% of the entire population would need to be vaccinated before the borders could be fully opened, while keeping other protection protocols in place.
Let’s shift our attention to the Signature Development for the past several weeks. Signatures continues to work on Phases 1 and 2 of the development. Two drilling rigs are currently operating and drilling in next blast zone is completed.
Clearing and placing of excavated material to the west of the lake is ongoing with material being deposited at the back of the development.
Underground electrical service conduit is being laid.
Underground water service trenching has continued up to roughly half way up the sub-division for phases 1 and 2 to the east of the lake.

The water pipes have now arrived on site.
